Shakespeare (Henry V)

Another favorite - the King's Saint Crispin's Day speech. This was also the favorite of President John F. Kennedy. The last four lines:
"And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day."

I have great memories Roy of a school trip to Stratford-upon-Avon to watch some of Shakespeare's plays there in the theatre, performed by The Royal Shakespeare Company, what performances, I can remember them still..! Henry V being one of them. We went out punting too on the River Avon. It's a beautiful historic old town. Oh, those were the days!

Love Angie x
